Oak Forest Academy is an incredible school, with a dedicated faculty and staff, active and engaged students, and a devoted alumni base. We offer our students a challenging and supportive educational experience in a community where our students are known and loved. We believe our students deserve the opportunity to pursue their interests, experience growth, and become lifelong learners in order to reach their full academic potential.
Our exceptional faculty at Oak Forest is one of our greatest assets. They are not only teachers but role models and mentors who inspire and challenge our students both in and out of the classroom. From the Guidance Counselor
Welcome to Oak Forest Academy! I have been blessed to be a part of the OFA family for the past three years, first as a high school teacher, and now counselor. Before coming to Amite, I lived in various places around the country and worked as a social worker for over fifteen years before switching careers and obtaining teacher certification. I am here to help make sure students’ needs are met academically, socially, and emotionally. I am here to assist with college and career planning and hold special events during the school year to help with this process. My goal is for our students to be successful here at OFA, but also be prepared to enter the world upon graduation. I am here for all students as well as parents who may have questions regarding the success of their student. Feel free to reach out at any time!
